Physiotherapy exercises can be as boring as bat poo. If you fixate on them &/or keep thinking (on a daily basis), “When are they going to work, when’s my pain going to get better?”, you risk ‘driving yourself to distraction’.
Try treating them as you would other ‘automatic daily tasks’, like cleaning your teeth; don’t ‘plan a run-up’ to them, just do them.
And maybe approach them as you might, if you had to chop down a small, dead tree with a penknife; i.e. if you focused on every cut, you’d drive yourself crazy!
But, if you ‘forget about them’ and just unconsciously, ‘carry on regardless’, one day ‘the tree falls down’!
